Wistful in Blue 5"X7" Oil on Panel

Tilted Back

"Tilted Back" 6"X6" oil on panel. These little figurative works I've been posting are done during 15 minute poses. During the earlier short poses I prepare my tools, then during the 5 minute poses, I start painting and wipe out each unfinished start. All along I'm waiting for the one or two 10-15 minute pose of that days session. I keep a special paint kit just for these life sessions, to minimize any unnecessary fussing around with equipment. It only takes one little snafu to lose precious time.
The buzzer goes off, and the model puts on a robe,  steps off the stand, and walks away.

Fort Washington Park

I just wondered around the neighborhood a bit, and came across this park, I was attracted to the big circles of mulch and the old trees. This is the site of Fort Washington,  and the highest spot in Manhattan. 6"X12" oil on panel.

Surf

This 8"X8" oil painting was painted at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina about a month ago, on a very windy day. The late afternoon pinks are just starting to appear.
